Recovery Resource Navigators are here to be a resource for your wildfire recovery.

What is Recovery Resource Navigatation?

Recovery Resource Navigators help people recover from disasters. Recovery Resource Navigators work closely with a survivor to create a plan to achieve the survivor’s recovery goals after a disaster. Recovery Resource Navigation is a program started by the State of Oregon Department of Human Services to allow Case Managers to work closely with the Survivors of the 2020 Wildfires to help them recover from wildfire. In Lane County, the state has contracted with several agencies, including the McKenzie Valley Long Term Recovery Group, to provide Recovery Resource Navigator services.

We currently have two case managers, using the title of Recovery Resource Navigator, on staff to assist you. You can reach out to info@mckenzievalleyltrg.org or (541) 214-7816, to get connected.

Who qualifies?

Anyone who was impacted by the 2020 wildfires will benefit from the support of a Recovery Resource Navigator. There is no income limit, and you do not have to be registered with FEMA or the American Red Cross. You qualify regardless of Immigration status.

Is there a waitlist?

There may be a waitlist, make sure to connect with a Recovery Resource Navigator as soon as possible.

What can I expect?

Survivors meet with a Recovery Resource Navigator to verify the person was impacted by the 2020 wildfires. Survivors sign a release-of-information form for anyone they wish the Recovery Resource Navigator to contact on their behalf. The survivor and Recovery Resource Navigator make a recovery plan together based on the survivor’s specific needs and goals. To qualify for some of the programs, you will be asked to provide some financial information and personal information. But, all the precautions are taken to keep your confidential information secure and private. The survivor will then remain in contact with the Recovery Resource Navigator as often as needed.

To meet with a Recovery Resource Navigator in person:

  • Survivors can contact info@mckenzievalleyltrg.org or (541) 214-7816 if they don't yet have a Recovery Resource Navigator or don't have the contact information for the Recovery Resource Navigator with whom they are working.

  • Recovery Resource Navigators are also available to meet in person by appointment.
